In the first 60 days since we began our test pilot for the Tri-States first comprehensive Carpet Recycle and Reclamation Program, The FloorShow will have diverted an estimated 80,000 pounds of carpet and cushion from landfills!

Last year, millions of pounds of used carpet were reclaimed in the United States, diverting this carpet from landfills. Carpet recycling has never before been available to Tri-State residents, but now The FloorShow is unveiling the areas first carpet recycle and reclamation program.
Effective April 1, 2009, The FloorShow will introduce the Tri-States first Carpet Recycle and Reclamation Program. Used carpet and cushion collected at our Tri-State recycling center will be sorted into material that is recyclable and material that will be reclaimed for waste into energy. With these exciting initiatives we are proud to say that all carpet forwarded through this program will be diverted from landfills.

This new program should have a significant impact on the Tri-State environment, as residents now have a choice to divert their used carpet and cushion from local landfills. ”
